LIST OF ISSUES
Climate Action Plan: Jim Davis prioritizes environmental sustainability, emphasizing the need to reduce carbon emissions, especially from refineries and industrial plants. His approach includes promoting clean air and water, advocating for communities affected by pollution, cleaning up contaminated sites, and increasing recycling. He supports alternative energy sources like solar and wind power to lessen fossil fuel dependence, and electric vehicles.
Workplace Diversity: Davis affirms that existing laws against discrimination should be enforced and not abolished to improve workplace diversity.
Education
More educational funding for Colleges, Universities, and Increase Teacher's and Staff Pay. Having worked as a Substitute Teacher gave me a first-hand experience of the demands of teachers. responsibilities and I really believe they deserve an increase in their salaries for the most important work they do.
Environment
We need to control the amount of carbon emissions into our atmosphere. We have to do more to provide clean water, clean air, and better rainwater drainage for everyone in Louisiana 5th Congressional District. We need to clean-uo contaminated industrial waste sites and find more effective and rfficient ways to recycle plastics and keep used plastics from continuing to harm our environment and eco-system. We can have labeled receptacle bins in our homes and work place environment to sort plastics from aluminum, and from trash.
Housing
As you next US Representative , I am willing to fight for more affordable housing for residents of Louisiana 5th Congressional District. Many of our rural towns and cities are in desperate need of more low-income housing.. We must provide funding to build more low-income, and more affordable housing.
